Misty is the daughter of Rose and David Samya. She has two brothers, Pat and Chris. She was born in Walker County and is a self-proclaimed country girl. Her favorite times are times spent with her family. Her proudest accomplishment was being a foster parent to Justin who has grown into a fine man with a child of his own. She enjoys trips to Bryant-Denny to watch the Tide play football, fly fishing, bass fishing, and playing basketball. She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Social Work at the University of Alabama.
